Hey Entrepreneur,

Today, I want to share some crucial insights about the evolving landscape of digital marketing, particularly focusing on the shift from social media marketing agencies (SMMA) to the burgeoning creator economy.

The Rise and Plateau of SMMA

Let's start with a look back at the journey of SMMA. Between 2017 and 2020, we witnessed a remarkable growth in Facebook's ad revenue. It was a golden era for SMMA, as the demand for such services doubled alongside the ad revenue. Many rode this wave, capitalizing on the booming market. However, post-2020, a significant change occurred – the revenue plateaued. This stagnation marked the beginning of a challenging phase for SMMA.

The Saturated Market and Its Challenges

As the market for Facebook ads became saturated, the once lucrative SMMA field became increasingly competitive. Standing out in the crowded SMMA space became more challenging. The cost of leads rose, and the return on investment diminished. It's a reality many in the field are facing.

Shift to the Creator Economy

In light of these challenges, it’s worth considering to turn attention to the creator economy – a sector predicted to double in size soon. This shift isn't just a trend; it's a significant movement, with investments flowing in from notable figures in the industry. The creator economy opens up a new realm of possibilities, focusing on leveraging individual expertise and influence.

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

For those just starting, I still see value in the AI SAS SMMA model as a stepping stone. It's a viable way to earn a steady income while building your skills. However, for substantial growth and to truly tap into the potential of the digital market, focusing on the creator economy is the way forward.

The digital marketing landscape is evolving, and so must we.

Cheers to your success,

Andrew Darius
